VTV.vn - Noi Bai International Airport has asked Soc Son District Medical Centre in Hanoi to provide a COVID-19 rapid test service at the airport from July 10 to support passengers in need of testing.

The service is performed at the area in front of the counters from A28 to A32 at Terminal 1 from 7am to 5pm daily.

The results will be returned after 30 minutes. The cost of the service was listed within the announcement of the Ministry of Health.

According to the regulations of the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam, all passengers on flights to/from Ho Chi Minh City are required to provide a negative test certificate for SARS-CoV-2 within 72 hours (including rapid and PCR test).

On the first day, there were many passengers who provided samples for testing.

The Deputy PM asked the whole city to strictly implement social distancing under the Government’s Directive No.16 while gradually focusing on the epidemic in small areas.

Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Truong Son said that during the social distancing period, the Ministry of Health and the City will closely coordinate in organising and administering sampling and increasing testing capacity to soon detect and "immediately peel" infections out of the community.

* The Infectious Field Hospital No.5 under the Defence Ministry was deployed to Ho Chi Minh City today.

The hospital, which has 500 beds, will be located at Division 317 under Military Region 7 in Hoc Mon District. It is tasked with receiving and treating COVID-19 patients, starting from 12pm on July 10.
