Conjoined twins successfully separated

The patients, Bao An and Bao Han were hospitalized in August last year. After a year and three operations, the girls underwent the final operation.

The operation was complicated as the patients are joined at the tailbones, where their nerves are located. Eight surgical teams with 40 doctors underwent nearly 12 hours to successfully complete this surgery at 6.35pm on August 23rd.

The patients are currently being monitored in the recovery room, with medical ventilators, antibiotics and blood infusions.
