VTV.vn - The Vietnam Dance Artists Association (VDAA) held a conference in Hanoi on December 25 to review its operation in 2022 and award prizes to the best dance performances of the year.

Speaking at the event, VDAA Chairman, People’s Artist Pham Anh Phuong briefed the participants on the outcomes of the association in 2022.

Accordingly, the association successfully hosted many important events, including a dance camp in Da Lat, field trips to study folk dances of H’Mong, Nung Din, and La Chi ethnic groups in Lao Cai province, seminars on discussing ways to develop dance art in Binh Dinh province and Can Tho city, as well as dance festivals and programmes.

In 2023, the association will focus on organising key activities such as a folk-dance contest, training courses for choreographers, field trips for folklore dance instructors, and a seminar on the connection between music and dance.

The association will also work to seek approval on the traditional day of Vietnamese dance art.

At the conference, the association honoured members who won with Ho Chi Minh and State Awards on Literature and Arts in 2022 and presented certificates of merit to members with outstanding contributions to the association’s operation over the past year.

On the occasion, the association awarded 8 A, 11 B and 5 C prizes to the best dance performances and research of the year.null
