Conference eyes on green urban development

Currently, only 24 in 59 cities in Vietnam have their own green urban development regulations and strategies. A lack of detailed planning on green urban development and proper infrastructure construction remains an issue.

Vietnam’s green urban development until 2020 however may not come cheap, with estimates reaching $30bn. This includes measures to reduce carbon emissions, plant trees and mitigate pollution.
