Clean Water and Environment Week 2016 kicks off

This year’s event aims to motivate the entire nation to protect freshwater streams and maintain a healthy environment. The event features a series of seminars, information sessions and activities to save water and energy. This is part of a bid to counter the recent effects of the strong El Nino phenomena and climate change. The week will also focus on sustainable rural development in a contemporary context. This also aims to raise farmers’ awareness of climate change adaptation.
