VTV.vn - A project led by children in Ho Chi Minh City won big at the Child-Friendly Cities Initiative (CFCI) Inspire Awards by UNICEF.

"Children Innovate Program," the work of 300 children aged 8 to 14 years old, was evaluated by experts and eventually chosen by the international community to become the winner in the category "Meaningful child participation".

For the project, the children built 3D models and a virtual reality presentation of their dream smart city - one with clean air, a nature-friendly environment, and no flooding or traffic jams.

The project is a collaboration between UNICEF Vietnam, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Planning and Architecture, and the Arkki School of Creative Education in Vietnam.
