Central region experiences dry weather during rainy season
VTV.vn - In Quang Nam Province, water levels in hydropower stations and irrigation systems are at an alarming low.
This is an unusual phenomenon, unseen over the past 40 years. Water shortages are affecting production and people's lives in the region.
However, this is not a long-term solution, because if the drought continues, areas upstream will face water shortages, meaning the downstream areas will have to deal with severe drought and high salinity levels.
