Celebrating New Year's Eve with Live Broadcast Tet Means Hope

Directly connected to 3 locations: Hoan Kiem Lake (Hanoi), Tet Flower Street in Da Nang City, Nguyen Hue Flower Street (HCMC), the program offers the audience images of Tet celebrations around Vietnam and the world, with special and spectacular performances recorded in Vietnam Television's studio. The program will be broadcast on all VTV channels on New Year's Eve, from 22:30 on the 30th day of the old Lunar Year until 00:30 on the first day of the Lunar New Year.

In the year of the Tiger, Vietnam is regarded by the world as "the new tiger of Asia". Each Vietnamese, with his or her qualities, has contributed to the construction of the country. Those elite qualities are built according to 8 key words expressing the Vietnamese human value system, which include: patriotism, solidarity, self-reliance, affection, honesty, responsibility, discipline and creativity. These are also the key words that make up the Tet Means Hope program this year, thus arousing pride, faith and hope for a bright future.

To make the program reports, Vietnam Television teams have spread out to all regions of the country: Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Kien Giang, Can Poetry, Dong Thap; to countries around the world such as the United States and Japan. The production team selected 8 characters of various ages, professions, living in Vietnam and abroad, and stories of their journey of dedication associated with the word "Tet": Tet of family, Tet of Vietnamese scientists abroad, Tet of fishermen at sea day and night, Tet of workers in factories, Tet of engineers who bring wisdom in the service of the motherland and humanity.

Inspired by the circle, with no beginning and no end that symbolizes eternity, the Tet program hopes to include this meaningful image in the stage design, including the circular blocks in the center and the dome, which symbolizes the yin-yang vortex that connects the past and the present. This design also helps the audience associate the image of a spaceship with dreams of discovering and creating the future. In addition, purple red, the main color of 2023, is also used in the program to express optimism, solidarity and joy.

"Tet means hope" will be broadcast live from 22:30 on the 30th of the old Lunar Year until 00:30 on the 1st of the Lunar New Year on VTV channels.
