Ca Mau province under high risk of forest fires

VTV.vn - Prolonged heat in the southernmost province of Ca Mau has exposed thousands of hectares of cajeput forest in U Minh Ha National Park to the high risk of forest fire, according to the local forest protection sub-department.

Relevant authorities and forest owners have deployed forces to monitor the area around the clock in case any fires occur, while keeping a close watch on water levels to give prompt forest fire warnings and respond in a timely manner. Communications have also been raised to spread awareness to the public.
