Building smoke-free cities

The conference was held in Vietnam with the aim of recognizing and promoting non-smoking tourism destinations and cities, and at the same time sharing experiences among countries and tourist destinations in the ASEAN region and Asia Pacific on the deployment of a smoke-free environment.

In Vietnam, the smoke-free city model has been implemented by the Ministry of Health since 2009 in Hoi An and expanded to other places such as Ha Noi, Ha Long, Hue, Nha Trang, and Hai Phong.
