Building brand for Vietnam cuisine - "Exploring, maintaining and developing Vietnam's cuisine heritage into a national asset by 2030" is the goal of the newly established Vietnam Cuisine Culture Association, which held a public session yesterday in Ho Chi Minh City.

The association has more than 300 members, including researchers, artisans, entrepreneurs and businesses operating in the food and tourism sectors. Nguyen Quoc Ky, Viettravel chairman, was elected the association's chairman.

According to the association's charter, its tasks are to research into folk and modern cuisines and. Vietnam cuisines have more than 3,000 dishes, many of which have made it into the list of the best dishes in the world.
