BOT project assessment results released

Several project developers failed to comply with construction regulations or categorise their projects. Inspectors also found violations such as illogical times of project announcement, inconsistency between planning and construction, and loopholes in government surveillance. All 70 BOT projects have only finished the developer selection phase. Among these, many developers have failed to prove proficiency.

In response, government inspectors have proposed that the Prime Minister direct relevant ministries to join forces to penalise offenders and deal with loop holes.
