Binh Dinh to boost coconut products

However, the project has still not progressed much. Recently, provincial authorities have decided to expand coconut-growing areas up to 10,000 hectares, and at the same time establish the Hoai Nhon coconut association, creating momentum for Binh Dinh’s coconut industry. 

Despite its high quality, coconut trees in Hoai Nhon District do not generate much income for farmers. This is partly due to a lack of trade promotion. It is hoped that the Hoai Nhon Coconut Association will help boost coconut production and consumption in the region.
