ASEAN traditional medicine regulatory framework

At the event, delegates agreed that Vietnam's health sector had achieved technological breakthroughs, but many patients still preferred traditional medicines. The meeting approved the ASEAN Regulatory Framework on Traditional Medicines and Health Supplements. Health ministers of ASEAN member countries reached an agreement on the content and time for the regulations to take effect. The result of the meeting created a basis for patients to access quality tested medicines, and opportunities for enterprises of traditional medicines and health supplements to further trade ties.
