ASEAN senior officials meet in Laos

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung led the Vietnamese delegation to both meetings. Foreign ministers are expected to exchange views on directions and measures to augment ASEAN cooperation and collaboration between the group and its partners, as well as on regional and international issues of shared concern. 

"I hope there will be positive and straight-forward discussions and effective and close cooperation among the ASEAN members and the partners in these meetings", Shigeki Takizaki - Leader of Japanese senior officials delegation - said.
