ASEAN's 50 year journey

From its inception until now, ASEAN has grown to become a strong community, contributing to the development and solidarity of the region. In the last 22 years, Vietnam has become one of the biggest contributors to the growth of ASEAN by actively taking part in activities such as promoting regional security, helping form the ASEAN Economic Community, and bringing the ASEAN Charter to life. Thanks to the joint efforts of member countries, ASEAN has become a family for South East Asian nations.
