ASEAN - China hotline agreed
VTV.vn - Also on Tuesday, Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc along with ASEAN leaders attended the ASEAN - China Summit.

During the summit, Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc welcomed the ASEAN - China Agreement on the application of regulations for preventing collisions in the East Sea and the establishment of hotlines between foreign ministries to tackle maritime emergencies.

At the summit, Chinese Premier Li Kequiang affirmed that China was the first country in dialogue to sign the Treaty of Amity and Co-operation in South East Asia, and would soon became a strategic partner and sign free trade agreement with ASEAN. Premier Li Kequiang also stressed that China valued its relations with ASEAN, supported the central role of ASEAN, and hoped to expand ties with ASEAN.

At the end of the summit, the leaders adopted joint declaration on the 25th anniversary ASEAN  China Summit, and a joint declaration on applying the code of conduct in the East Sea, guidelines for a hotline between ASEAN and China to respond to maritime emergencies, and a joint declaration on production capacity co-operation.
