Artworks celebrate President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday

VTV.vn - The Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts is introducing 28 artworks on its website and fanpage to commemorate the 130th birthday of late President Ho Chi Minh (May 19).

The art works are from the museum’s collection and were made by both domestic and foreign authors.

The displayed artworks are in pastel, lacquer, silk, wood, oil, and watercolour and depict the late President, his simple life and activities, and his great love for his compatriots.

In addition, besides the works by domestic authors, the exhibition also introduces some works of foreign authors, such as David Thomas (USA) and Lee Sang Phill (the Republic of Korea) showing admiration and respect for the great Vietnamese leader.

With 28 works featured in the programme, the artists depicted the image of a leader who devoted his entire life to the cause of national independence and reunification in a honest and simple way.

Through the exhibition, the museum would like to expresses its gratitude for the great contributions of the nation's outstanding leader and cultural figure, while at the same time spreading his ideas, ethics and style to today's generations to learn and follow.
