VTV.vn - On April 27, 1954, during the Political Conference at the front, the communications force was assigned the task of preparing a loudspeaker system for a new propaganda work towards the enemy.

The Campaign Information Department mobilised officers and technical staff to bring a loudspeaker system, which served the Second National Congress of the Party (1951) and the Reunification Congress of the Viet Minh – Lien Viet Front, to the front to deploy propaganda work towards the enemy.

On the same day, the movement to grab parachute supplies from the enemy continued to take place enthusiastically throughout the units on the Dien Bien Phu Front, capturing a large amount of ammunition, food, and medicine. The 5th Regiment at Isabelle (Hong Cum) alone captured 120 tonnes of ammunition and food from the enemy in 15 days.

The "enemy hunting" movement also developed strongly, causing a lot of damage to the enemy. All kinds of big and small guns were used by Vietnamese soldiers to participate in sniper shooting, causing the enemy's morale to become extremely tense and tired. In the second half of April alone, the soldiers of the 57th Regiment killed 100 enemy soldiers and wounded 44 others. The sniper record went to soldier Luc Van Thong, who killed 30 in one day.
