APEC encouraged to strengthen vaccine cooperation

This was the proposal of President Nguyen Xuan Phuc at the APEC Summit last night.

Considering Vietnam's long-term control of the Covid-19 pandemic, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc emphasized that the prospect of economic recovery now depends mainly on timely, equal and quality access to effective vaccines. The President emphasized that the COVID-19 pandemic still has a very complicated and prolonged development,while the endurance of people and businesses is ,unemployment is increasing, and social inequality is deepening.

The State President said that APEC needs to promote cooperation in technology transfer, and improve research and vaccine production, as it is home to many of the world's leading vaccine production and supply centers.
