African swine fever vaccine successfully produced in Vietnam

So far, no other country in the world has been able to successfully commercialize this vaccine. It is expected that on Friday, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will officially announce this achievement and grant a circulation permit.

According to the Ministry, Vietnam has officially produced a commercial vaccine against African swine fever that meets the technical and professional requirements, with the duration of immunity lasting 6 months.

The African swine fever is a dangerous infectious disease caused by a virus in pigs that first appeared in Africa in 1921. The disease is known to spread rapidly, with a 100% mortality rate.
