AFC President congratulates Viettel FC on V.League 1 crown

Truong Viet Hoang's side deserves to pick sweet fruits following their concerted efforts throughout the season.

VTV.vn - President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa has recently conveyed a congratulatory message to VFF on the success of the V.League 1-2020 season and to newly crowned champions Viettel FC.

In the letter sent to VFF President Le Khanh Hai, the AFC boss delivered his best wishes to the VFF while extending his compliments to Truong Viet Hoang’s troops for the feat they have attained.

Earlier on November 8, V.League 1-2020 officially wrapped up with the overall trophy awarded to Viettel FC, who edged past Saigon FC to finish on the top of the table with a two point lead.

Truong Viet Hoang’s side displayed a brilliant showing in the second phase of the season clinching 19 out of the total 21 points after seven matches.

As the 2020 V.League 1 champions, Viettel FC have been guaranteed a place in the group stage of the AFC Champions League next year, while National Cup winners Hanoi FC and V.League 1’s third-placed Saigon FC will represent Vietnam to compete in the AFC Cup.
