668 mln USD disbursed for site clearance of Long Thanh international airport

This amount reached nearly 70% of the total capital allocated for the project. This disbursed capital was mainly used to pay compensation, support thousands of households, and build resettlement areas for affected people.

The site clearance project of the Long Thanh International Airport was approved by the Prime Minister at the end of 2018 with a total capital of more than 976 billion USD which was totally mobilized from Government bonds for the period of 2018 - 2021.

Along with site clearance, capital for infrastructure construction of resettlement areas is more than 171 million USD. The remaining capital will be spent on infrastructure outside the airport boundary, vocational training, job creation, and reports on project feasibility.
