Filmmakers from across the country have joined in the challenge to write, shoot and edit a short film within the span of 48 hours. More than 400 young filmmakers representing 100 teams have joined this year's competition.
The judging panel features director Phan Gia Nhật Linh, producer Trang Lê, director Bảo Nguyễn and director Jordan Vogt- Roberts.
In each film, the teams are required to showcase 3 elements: characters, props, and dialogue, with a running time of 4 to 7 minutes. The 48-hour film project has organized over 20 workshops for filmmaking techniques, 4 film showcases and 2 workshops for video shooting.
The winning film this year will represent Vietnam and compete against 140 other films from the 48-hour film projects if other nations. The winning film will be showcased at the Cannes Film Festival and will earn a total of 11,000 USD in prize money.
