4,000 pharmacies connected online

The Minister of Health said cooperation with Viettel Group will build a system connecting medical suppliers, therefore helping the authorities better manage selling medicine based on prescriptions, the origin, quality, expiration date, and the price of medicines at each pharmacy. Residents can access these details on a national online data storage website.

Deputy Prime Minister Vũ Đức Đam said this system needs to be connected with the health records of all citizens soon. In the meantime, it will reduce selling medicines without prescriptions and the abuse of antibiotics.
