The award was launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee in 2021 and has received enthusiastic participation from press agencies at both the central and grassroots levels.
It received around 2,090 entries in the five categories of printed newspapers, online newspapers, radio, video, and photo journalism, which were submitted by more than 100 press agencies from across the country.
The entries focused on topical issues, including the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic, the protection of the national sovereignty over sea, islands and national territory, socio-economic achievements, national defence and security.
They also honoured creative ways to bring the Party's Resolutions to life; exemplary models who take the lead in implementing patriotic movements and the campaign to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle.
Winners of the awards will be announced and honoured at a ceremony scheduled to take place in Hanoi on October 29.
