100 kg of cocaine seized at Cai Mep customs

The cocaine was found when Cai Mep customs were checking on a container carrying scrap steel imported to Vietnam for the Pomina Company.

The container belongs to the Maersk Line. It had departed from Port of Panama City, passed China, and arrived at Cai Mep port on Tuesday. The inspection is still ongoing. This is the first time this kind of drug trafficking method has been discovered in Vietnam. Currently, Cai Mép Customs is cooperating with Vietnam Border Defence Force to continue further investigations.
