Vietnam addresses tax challenges of the digital economy

The event also drew the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the State Bank of Vietnam. Experts discussed a number of issues such as the legality and tax obligations related to app-based taxi service Uber, online advertising services offered by Google and Facebook and the provision of applications and games through Apple's and Google’s app markets on mobile devices. They also discussed solutions to provide better tax management in the field of e-commerce, and to combat tax evasion.
