Seminar promotes Vietnam-Argentina trade ties

VTV.vn - A trade and investment seminar was held on August 5 in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina to provide local businesses with information to assist with import and export activities and expand trade with Vietnam.

The conference was sponsored by the Vietnam Embassy in Argentina in collaboration with the Argentina-Vietnam Cultural Institute and provided a wealth of information on trade events, tariffs and import/export assistance.
During the event, Commercial Attaché of Vietnamese Embassy Nguyen Thi Thanh Van presented an overview of trade and investment opportunities in Vietnam and answered queries of local businesses.
For his part, Argentina’s State Secretary of Economic Development of Lanus Oscar Jofre said he was interested in pursuing additional talks to establish strong trade relationships importing electronics, clothing and footwear from Vietnam.
According to official statistics, the total commercial trade of Vietnam with Argentina stood at US$1.273 billion in the first five months of this year, up 32% compared to the same period last year.
