RoK-Vietnam FTA to take effect next week

Firms from the two countries will enjoy benefits from tariff cuts. This is important because Vietnam is South Korea's third-largest export market.

Under the FTA, Vietnam will lift tariffs on nearly 90% of all products from South Korea over a 15-year period following its implementation. Meanwhile, South Korea will lift tariffs on more than 95% of all products imported from Vietnam.
