Pork, beef imports from EU to rise sharply
VTV.vn - According to experts, pork and beef imports to Vietnam will rise sharply in the coming time thanks to the Vietnam – EU free trade agreement.

Accordingly, the price of pork, beef, and chicken imported from the EUwill be much cheaper, as the import tariff for these items is set to reach 0% within 3 to 7 years. Currently, about 43 meat exporters in the EUhave been licensed to enter the Vietnamese market. Meat imported from the EU is expected to out-perform domestic products in terms of both quality and taste. In the 2012-2014 period, frozen beef and pork imports from the EU to Vietnam have increased 70-fold. In Quarter One of this year, Vietnam imported 970 tonnes of pork and 8,400 tonnes of beef, up 41% from the same period last year. /.
