American war correspondents visit Vietnam

VTV.vn - On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of South liberation, a group of internationally-known American war journalists has paid a visit to Vietnam.

The group includes Nick Ut who was known for “The Napalm Girl”- the photo that made the U.S. government change its policy in the American war in Vietnam; Peter Arnett who was awarded the 1966 Pulitzer prize with over 3000 articles and reports about the war in Vietnam and other four Amercian journalists who covered the war in Saigon between 1960 and 1975, as well as George Lewis, a journalist at NBC, Eddie Lederer, the first female journalist at Associates Press (AP) and Bill Reilly, also an AP journalist.

The group visited the family of the late General Vo Nguyen Giap on May 3rd, the Academy of Journalism and Communication on May 6th and their Vietnamese colleagues today. The meeting reviewed their time working in Vietnam and their multifaceted capture of the American war.
