Young doctors sent to remote areas
VTV.vn - As many as 130 young doctors have been trained to work under a pilot project launched by the Ministry of Health.

The project aims to deploy the young doctors to work in mountainous, remote, border and island areas and was held in Haiphong on Monday. Doctors who participate in the projects have gone through a practical training process with hands-on training accounting for 70% of the syllabus.

In the first stage of the programme, 19 doctors studied internal medicine, obstetrics, paediatrics, anesthesia, image diagnosis and infectious diseases and will be tasked to work in 13 less-developed localities. They were trained for two years before working. After concluding their working term in these areas, the doctors will return to work at public-sector hospitals.
