World Bank forecasts 6.8% economic growth in 2018

This is according to the World Bank’s report entitled “Global Economic Prospects: East Asia and Pacific – The Turning of the Tide?”, released on June 5^th. Vietnam is expected to be the second fastest growing economy in the Asia-Pacific region, after Cambodia.

The growth forecast for the first quarter of this year stood at 7.38% for Vietnam – the highest in 10 years. Vietnam’s economy in 2017 also saw a decade-high growth rate.
