WB urges Vietnam to enhance restructure SOEs

They suggested Vietnamese SOEs should only focus on important sectors related to defence and security. They also stressed the need to balance accountability and independence between state companies and state management agencies. Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue highly valued the recommendations from the World Bank and said that the government would continue to research and consider these recommendations during the process of restructuring SOEs in the coming time.
