Vietnamese volunteer soldiers’ remains repatriated from Cambodia
VTV.vn - In a bid to repatriate more remains of Vietnamese voluntary soldiers who died in Cambodia during wartime, a meeting was held in Hochiminh City between Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Cung and Cambodian General Pol Saroeun.

The meeting assessed the repatriation efforts in 2014-2015 and discussed close operation in 2015-2016 period. Last year, 701 remains of Vietnamese soldiers have been discovered in Cambodia. Of which, 15 remains have been identified with names and hometowns. Measures have been planned for the 2015-2016 dry season to repatriate the remaining 4,000 remains in Cambodia. Furthermore, 310 thousand USD fund was also given for Cambodia to support Vietnam in next year repatriation efforts.
