Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand congratulates Lao’s traditional New Year

VTV.vn - A delegation from the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand, led by Charge d'Affaires Bui Thi Hue, visited the Lao Embassy in Thailand on April 6 to congratulate the country on its traditional New Year festival, Bunpimay.

Charge d'Affaires Bui Thi Hue extended the best New Year wishes to the Lao people. She said that under the sound leadership of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, Lao people have had a more prosperous and happy life with stable and sustainable economic development.

Hue noted that Vietnam is always ready to help Laos fulfil its responsibilities as the ASEAN Presidency in 2024 and hoped Laos successfully organise activities this year.

She also wished for the increasing development of the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States and two peoples.

Lao Ambassador to Thailand Khamphan Anlavan thanked Chargé d'Affaires Bui Thi Hue for her good wishes and said that the regular exchanges between staff of the Lao Embassy and the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand will enhance mutual understanding between the two sides.

Previously, on the afternoon of April 6, staff of the Lao Embassy and the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand jointly participated in playing sports games on the campus of the Lao Embassy, such as table tennis, badminton, and petanque.
