Vietnam – UNDP cooperation from 1986 - 2000
VTV.vn - Having cooperated with Vietnam since 1978, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) has implemented 8 non-refundable aid programs for Vietnam that cost a total of about 1 billion USD.

The forms of support Vietnam has received from the UNDP are also very diverse and ranged from post-war recovery to improvements of the local people's standard of living. It can be said that the UNDP's aid projects from 1986 to 2000 have been a very important factor in helping Vietnam change itself into the country it is today.

This was an important foundation for Vietnam to improve the country's efficiency and competitiveness, thereby successfully participating in the process of international integration.
