Vietnam still faces gender imbalance at birth
VTV.vn - Up to 45 out of 63 provinces and cities in Vietnam struggle with sex ratio imbalance at birth with 120 boys per 100 girls, and even 150 boys per 100 girls in some localities.

 

 

This was announced by the General Department of Population and Family Planning under the Ministry of Health while summarizing their one-year implementation of the Project to control the imbalance of sex ratios at birth in the 2016-2025 period. The ten cities and provinces with the highest rates of gender imbalance at birth are Hưng Yên, Hải Dương, Bắc Ninh, Bắc Giang, Nam Định, Hòa Bình, Hải Phòng, Vĩnh Phúc, Quảng Ninh and Quảng Ngãi.
