Vietnam South Africa promote co-operation

VTV.vn - From 18th 21st Dec, a delegation led by Nguyen Van Binh, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, as well as the Head of the Central Economic Committee paid a visit to South Africa.

Here, the delegation held talks with Zweli Mkhize, Treasurer-General of the African National Congress (ANC) and Solly Mapaila, South African Politburo member and Deputy General Secretary of the South African Communist Party.

Both sides appreciated the relationship the two countries have shared over the past 60 years and discussed measures to further promote bilateral co-operation on trade, investment, agriculture and education.

On behalf of the Vietnamese government, Secretary Binh invited leaders of the ANC and the South African Communist Party to visit Vietnam in the near future.

During the visit, the delegation also visited the Vietnamese embassy in South Africa, and the Vietnamese community living in the country.
