VTV.vn - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc joined G20 leaders to discuss climate change and energy-related issues in Hamburg yesterday.

The Vietnamese cabinet leader delivered a speech on the importance of international collaboration to counter the effects of climate change and sustainable development. PM Phuc reiterated that Vietnam is one of the countries that is severely affected by climate change and the unsustainable exploitation of Mekong River resources. However, he reaffirmed Vietnam's commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 8% by 2030 and even 25% if the nation receives adequate assistance from the international community.
