VTV.vn - On Friday, Dao Ngoc Dung, the Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, paid a working visit to the European Union and Belgium.

The goal of his trip to Europe is to show that Vietnam is making an effort to implement international commitments on labor as the European side pays special attention to this during preparations for the signing and ratification of the EVFTA. Minister Dao Ngoc Dung informed European leaders that Vietnam's National Assembly has passed a resolution from the International Labor Organization's 98th Convention last week. The preparations for the submission to the National Assembly of the two remaining conventions are being accelerated. The Minister also said the revised Labor Code, which incorporates the contents of international conventions and international labor commitments of Vietnam, is expected to be approved by the National Assembly this year.
