Vietnam, Myanmar strengthen parliamentary ties

VTV.vn - The Vietnamese and Myanmarese legislatures agreed to strengthen relations at a meeting between National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and Deputy Speaker of the House of Nationalities, Aye Thar Aung, in Hanoi on Thursday.

Chairwoman Ngan congratulated Myanmar on this country’s  recent socio-economic achievements, and expressed happiness at the increasingly closer friendship and cooperation between the two houses.

Deputy Speaker Thar Aung also hailed Vietnam’s socioeconomic and external achievements and political stability. The two sides expressed  desire to enhance cooperation in all spheres and between their ruling parties, parliaments, governments, and peoples.

They agreed to step up exchanges at all levels, including between their parliamentarians and parliamentary bodies.
