Vietnam hosts auditing conference

The State Audit will also become the organisation's chair for the next 3 years. National Assembly Vice Chairman Phung Quoc Hien, who is also head of the steering committee for organising the congress, said that the event's title will be Environmental Auditing for Sustainable Development. The vice chairman urged authorities to take extra measures to ensure a successful congress because over 40 international delegations will attend the event. Established in 1979, the organisation currently has 46 members, and aims to promote co-operation and friendship among its members to improve the quality and effectiveness of public auditing.
