VTV.vn - The anti-dumping duty rate will be set to 1.42% instead of 1.16% like before.

This high tax rate would apply to shrimp shipments imported in the US. This would decrease the competition of Vietnam's shrimp in the US market. To set this rate, the US chose India as the third country that has a similar economic scale with Vietnam. Earlier this year, the US Department of Commerce also decided to extend anti-dumping tariffs on Vietnamese shrimp for 5 more years. Though, the anti-dumping tariff rate for a specific period of time will be determined after administrative reviews by the US Department of Commerce.
