Many activities have been stalled, especially in the US capital of Washington DC. Around 800,000 people have been affected, with 420,000 temporary out of a job, 320,000 continuing working without pay.
Many federal agencies have to cut down on labour like employees at airports. The shutdown will persist as long as US President Donald Trump and the US Congress cannot agree on the budget plan. The US President has not backed down on his request to build a 6-billion USD wall. However, recently, he has said the wall can be steel instead of concrete.
