Tra fish exports to China increase by 90%
VTV.vn - While tra fish exports are decreasing in many markets, the Chinese market is a different story. In 2016, total tra fish export turnover to China reached over 300 mil USD, a 90% increase compared to the same period last year.
This rise is attributed to higher demand in China, along with a surge in supply after Vietnamese tra fish producers decided to focus on China instead of other markets like the US and the EU. China has now surpassed the EU to become the second largest Vietnamese tra fish importer. It is expected that China will even surpass the US to become the largest market in 2017.
