State President encourages flood victims

According to local leaders, heavy rain caused by Storm Damrey left many areas in Hoa Vang District isolated.

Nearly 4,500 households were flooded, dozens of hectares of vegetables and aquatic products have been damaged. Total damage was estimated at 40 billion VND.

The State President suggested that all levels of government and villagers should pay due attention to maintaining hygiene and preventing epidemics as well as helping people resume their livelihoods.

The State President also gave gifts to some households and encouraged them in their post-storm efforts.
