Southern fruits festival boost consumption

The event opened yesterday, as ship after ship arrived with fresh fruits from all corners of the country. The event features many activities such as fruit parades, fashion shows, music performances and fruit decoration contests.

Visitors also have the chance to see a collection of rare giant fruits. What distinguishes this year from past events is its collaboration with supermarket chains and fruit stores in Ho Chi Minh City to bring discounts for consumers.

The event will run until the end of August and promises to sell 1 ton of fruits every month.
