SOS children’s villages marks 30 years in Vietnam
VTV.vn - 30 years ago, the Ministry of Labour Invalids and Social Affairs and SOS Children's Villages International signed an agreement to develop SOS children's villages in Vietnam on December 22nd, 1987.

From the first two projects in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, there are now 17 of them, providing family care, community support and educational programs for underprivileged children in the country.

According to the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, Vietnam now has more than 128,000 orphaned children, but not all of them are able to access SOS Children's Villages. SOS Children's Village Vietnam is expanding its fundraising programme to support more children in the country with the slogan that no children should grow up alone.
